Two new board members joined the Area Education Agency 267 Board of Directors and three incumbents will continue on the board following elections that took place in local school districts. The board previously had five open seats which were filled by election of the local school districts served. Districts had until September 30 to cast their ballots. Maureen Hansen and Dennis Craun are new to the board while Dr. George North, Darshini Jayawardena and David Giese are returning.

Director District 3-Dr. George North (incumbent) re-elected
Includes the school districts of AGWSR, Alden, Aplington-Parkersburg, CAL, Clarksville, Eldora-New Providence, Grundy Center, Hampton-Dumont, Hubbard-Radcliffe, Iowa Falls, and North Butler.
Director District 4-Darshini Jayawardena (incumbent) re-elected
Includes the school districts of Belmond-Klemme, Mason City, Osage, RRMR, and West Fork.
Director District 5-David Giese (incumbent) re-elected
Includes the school districts of BCLUW, East Marshall, GMG, Marshalltown, and West Marshall.
Director District 6-Maureen Hansen, former local school board member, Engineer for John Deere
Includes the school districts of Brooklyn-Guernsey-Malcom (BGM), Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Grinnell-Newburg, Hudson, Montezuma, North Tama County, South Tama County, and Union.
Director District 9-Dennis Craun, Jr., parent, Systems Administrator for Diedrich & Associates Inc
Includes the school districts of East Buchanan, Independence, Jesup, and Waterloo.
Board members began their term of office on October 7. Terms are for four years. A special thank you and farewell to Bernice Richard and Charlotte Upah for their long standing service to the agency.
