In an effort to ensure greater continuity between our regions and allow for more opportunities to meet as a full agency, the following dates have been selected for 2017-18 for regional/agency team meetings. While locations of the meetings have not been fully finalized, please reserve each of these dates and schedule professional and personal obligations around them as attendance will be mandatory. Locations are listed where they are known. All meetings are scheduled for 9 am-3 pm. More details will be sent out to you as they are finalized. (In general, Regional Meetings will take place in the AM and Discipline/Content Teams will meet in the afternoon. The day of the week for the meetings will rotate as suggested to help ensure that services by direct service providers are more equally spread out and don’t always occur on the same day of the week.)

Very glad to see that the Regional Vertical meetings and the Discipline meetings are on the same day and are 1/2 a day each!!!!!!!!!!
How will people get to their Discipline meetings when our regional meetings are at least 2 hours away from each other? There’s no time to travel.

Thanks for the question. We have been working on taking the feedback we received about our Regional and Discipline meetings to try and improve the structures of these meetings and the outcomes for all that attend. As such, we will be facilitating a couple different meetings throughout the 2017-2018 year.
We are hesitant to share everything at this point because we will be working with each discipline to get feedback and put the final touches on our plan to help ensure that we have the best possible plan moving forward for each specific discipline.
However, since you asked, we share a general plan (subject to improvement). Our meetings will consist of All Staff Meetings in Cedar Falls, Regional Meetings by Sector, and Regional Meetings by Region.
I am not sure if that gives you the answer that you need, but know we are working to create a draft plan and will be working with each discipline to improve it while trying to maintain some consistency and alignment within our organization. I am confident, that we will create a plan that works for each discipline.
